Indian cricket team is the national cricket team that represents India in international cricket.It is governed by the Board of control of cricket in India (BCCI).Their Test staus was granted on 1932.They played their first test match at the Lord's against England from 25 to 28 th June on 1932.They won the 1983 world cup and were runners up in 2003 world cup.They did not even make it to the Semi-Finals in the 2008 World Cup and were defeated by the bangladesh team who had just formed their national team.They won the ICC 20-20 World Cup on 2007.They won the Asia cup in 1984,1980,1990,1995 and were Runner up in 1997,2004 and 2008.They are currently in 2nd position in the ICC test rankings and 4th in the ICC ODI rankings.Anil Kumble, captain of the test cricket team is in 8th position in the ICC bowlers ranking for test cricket.Mahender Singh Dhoni,captain of the ODI team is in 2nd position in the ICC batsman ranking for ODI.
