The Deodhar Trophy is a List A domestic cricket competition held in India being governed by the BCCI.The tournament was first played in the year 1973 and has been named after the Late Professor D.B.Deodhar.He is an First class Indian cricketer whose career saw through both the World Wars.The format of the tournament is that of the League.

The Deodhar Trophy is a popular one day domestic cricket competition in India.North,South,East,West and Central zones are the 5 zonal teams which takes part in the tournament.The North Zone team have been very successful and have won the tournament 11 times.The South Zone team have shared the Trophy with the Central Team once.The Central Zone team is the current (2007/08) winners of the Deodhar Trophy.
